...Comer offered the crowd at Fancy Farm "a strong conservative voice" in Washington. He was short on details on details. Facing long shot Sam Gaskins, Comer is seen as the odds on favorite.

He was the only candidate to offer his website address. JamesComer.com and he was the only candidate to paraphrase Donald Trump's slogan of "Make America Great Again."

(Fancy Farm 2016) - Sam Gaskins may be a long shot in his race to replace 1st District Congressman Ed Whitfield, but if passion counts for anything, don't count him out.

According to Democratic House candidate Jesse Wright, Heath hasn't proposed anything since his election in 2013. Wright told the audience that "We need somebody to go to Frankfort and do some work. We've given him a fair chance to go to Frankfort and get results."

(Clinton KY) - Members of the Mayfield/Graves County Historical Society took a field trip to Hickman County today, visiting the Hickman County Historical Society and the Hickman County Museum. The historians, several of whom had Hickman roots, perused marriage and school records.

Hickman County history and the battle of Columbus-Belmont are the focus of the Jackson Purchase Historical Society meeting Saturday, July 16, in Clinton, Kentucky.

.....Dr. Gregory Barnes of the University of Louisville testified about his research into the effectiveness of cannabidiol, known as CBD, in epilepsy.

"It might not only represent a compound that is anti-seizure in character but also a compound that improves behaviors and cognition," said Barnes. "I think that is a very important point for the committee to understand."
